Interview / heather’s Story

Following in her family’s footsteps, Heather created SIC to add her modern day touch to the homes of many. She has an eye for details and an instant plan as soon as she visits your home.  While interviewing Heather, we discussed her passion for remodeling. I put her on the spot and asked her why did she follow someone else’s footsteps instead of making her own imprint.  She was very vulnerable and explained to me that she created this for her children to one day have something to look back on. Her favorite statement from her children’s eyes “You gave me the roots to start this life and then you gave me wings to fly”.  She is a working mother that strives to leave her children behind a legacy.  During our discussion, since she was very knowledgeable with all aspects of the construction industry, I asked her several times why she did not build new construction homes and she simply stated “I would rather turn old into new”.  Most people that I have interviewed would rather replace than revamp and Heather is the complete opposite.  Her ideas are astonishing.  She can create an entire design on the spot with refreshing ideas.  I actually had her to remodel my own home shortly after our interview.  She will not disappoint.  Her mind reminds me a lot of what we look for on Pinterest.  I told her once that she was walking Pinterest, she smiled and said “I can only hope that my customers get the same excitement as I do from renovating their homes”.
